Factual Nonsense Gallery was opened by Joshua Compston in 1992 and was named after the painting ‘Factual Nonsense’ which I painted in 1991. Joshua showed it many times at the gallery, including the ‘Fete Worse Than Death’.

Dear David,
Shame you couldn’t make it to my Two Towers party last Saturday night,. You missed a South London Disco!!
Thankyou for the ‘Good luck’. The Child seems to be descending down the slide at the moment – ie something is going on. Very Liverpool poets, fish and chips, tea in original cafes etc etc. A welcome change. Ex Oxford Sophisticates can irk one so. Opinion on Rego basically the same, though I wrote some notes and expanded my criticisms more fully.
Hope all’s well. Much love Joshua. Phone if you discover any itches under the skin.
